So on saturday I had my first gig of the new year. I played with my good friends Mr Daniel Adam and The Simon Darling Band. It was a great night of diverse acoustic music and I had a real blast getting up on stage for the first time in 2012. I even dropped a couple of new songs into my set which went down well. Good Times!

Jesse Malin & The St. Marks Social. The Fleece, Bristol. 29/11/11

He played the whole of The Fine Art Of Self Destruction.

Aswell as an encore of some of his other jams.

He came into the crowd and made everybody in the venue sit down on the floor with him.

Told some great stories about his life, music and living in NYC.

Drank a shot, standing on the bar then finished singing a song.

Ended the night with a singalong (in the crowd again) to Bastards Of Young by The Replacements.

For the whole show I was at the front with Nicola.

After the show he signed our tickets and signed a copy of The Fine Art Of Self Destruction on vinyl for me.

All in all it was a great night. Jesse was a gentleman. His band were awesome. And I left the gig a very happy chappy.

Me looking on.

Last week I road tripped up to London with my buddy Jimbo Arch and hooked up with my mate Tommy to go see SHARKS and Spycatcher @ The Social. It was a sick night!
